My name is Elaine and I live in Hextable, Kent with my husband and two lovely daughters. After a long and successful career in retail management I took a career break to have my eldest daughter. Whilst pregnant I discovered a love for baking and hoped that one day I could turn this new found passion into a business.
In 2008 Cake-it-Away was born.
For the first few years I focused purely on celebration cakes. I read every single book possible and attended a sugar craft course. In 2011 I commissioned my first wedding cake and have honestly never looked back. I eat (lots) sleep and dream cake and love to learn new techniques and keep up to date with current trends.
I have a real passion for anything cake and enjoy every part of the process from meeting with perspective couples and turning their dream cake into a reality.
